Printing Methods

We use both DTG and DTFx methods depending on the design...

DTG

Our main printing method (called DTG) lays ink straight into the fabric fibres, capturing every fine line and colour gradient of the design with precision. The result is a soft, natural feel — no thick plastic print sitting on top of the shirt. It's the ideal method for vintage-style artwork where the subtleties of the design are what make it special.

Most of the clothes are printed in this DTG method, such as the beautiful vintage bird designs and the superb worth a walk tee.

DFx

Where appropriate some designs use DTFx printing so that design is heat-pressed directly onto the fabric, giving you sharp, vibrant colours that won't crack, peel, or fade — no matter how many river crossings, campfire nights, or victory washes it goes through. This produces longest-lasting prints with ultra vibrant colors. In this method the print sits on top of the fabric, so prints are less breathable - so this method is used only a few designs where breathability isn't such an issue such as the Rainbow Trout and Tui tees.
